Live Out Your Faith 7 Helpful Verses.

Faith is not a secret or static thing. It must be exercised or used to become strengthened!

FAITH IN GREEK IS “PISTIS” #4102 - MEANING FIRM PERSUASION, TRUST OR BELIEF

FAITH IS FOUNDATIONAL TO SALVATION

Let me ask you this, how does she trust that she will not fall? She has learned a secular faith, built on her own training and learning; she trusts her skills. She can be successful at climbing. She can also fail, she has no lifeline. She is a free climber. She has learned to rely only on her own abilities, but that will not offer her salvation. In the life we choose to live as believers in Jesus as our Savior, we must accept the gift of spiritual faith. It is the core of how we overcome and present ourselves to God as believers trusting in the saving grace of Christ’s sacrifice. This faith surpasses anything that we could rely on to make ourselves worthy of salvation and access to heaven. Especially when you consider that unlike the climber, you can fall as a Crhistian, yet get up though confession and repentance and be healed to recovery.

“For you are saved by grace through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is God’s gift - not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (CSB)

Understand that faith is the foundation that supports a belief/trust in God and His Son. It is an important word that appears over 500 times in Scripture. Without faith we are unable to move toward God in any fashion. We must have faith in Father God to regain our lost relationship with Him as children. We cannot get or attain faith because it is given to us by God. We must exercise our faith and learn to trust God. In fact, we need to understand this passage, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 (CSB) Once again we find what we need for answers and understanding exists within the Bible; we must hear and study Scripture.

“Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith and that is not of your selves, it is the gift of God; not a a result of works., so that no one may boast.” The climber above has learned to climb and has worked herself into a condition that she has confidence. I repeat this but it is important, she can still fail and there probably will be no recovery. You are given the right kind of faith to survive your sinful life. Reach out for the life line that is Christ

7 SCRIPTURES REGARDING FAITH IN ACTION

Acts 16:5 “So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.” There was growth …

Matthew 9:20-22 “Just then the woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years approached from behind and touched his robe, for she said to herself, ‘If I can just touch his robe, I’ll be made well.” Jesus turned and saw her, ‘Have courage daughter,’ he said. ‘Your faith has saved you.’ And the woman was made well that moment.” Exercised faith brings healing …

James 2:14, 17 “What good is it, my brothers and siters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can such a faith save him? In the same way faith, if it does not have works, is dead by itself.” True faith will generate good works…

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. Resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.” Faith is the basis of our safety in Christ…

Romans 3:27-28 “Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By one of works? No, on the contrary, by a law of faith. For we conclude that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.” It is not about following The Law, but by relying on faith…

Christians as they exercise their faith will see it will grow. Faith ignored can fade…

Mark 16:11-14 relates how the disciples did not believe Mary Magdelene’s report about the risen Christ: “She went and reported to those who had been with him, as they were mourning and weeping. Yet, when they heard he was alive and had been see by her, they did not believe it. After this he appeared, in a different form to two of them walking on their way into the country. And they went and reported it to the rest, who did not believe them either. Later he appeared to the Eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table. He rebuked their unbelief, and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw him after he had risen.” Collectively they denied that Christ was risen … their faith had faded after all that they had seen with their own eyes for several years.

… Or it can be strong, solid and a driving force!

Genesis 15:6 Where Moses relates that Abram believed the promise God made to him about future offspring even though he was old. “Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” The promise was preposterous, yet Abram had faith enough to believe. That is strong enduring faith.

HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 - “THE HALL OF FAITH”

The author of Hebrews uses Chapter 11 to provide a clear listing of faith as it operated in the lives of many people from the Old Testament, Patriarchs to the average everyday believer in God. The book is 40 chapters long yet is concise and truly direct. I have chosen a few verses to share with you [all verses are from the KJV]:

11:4 “By faith Able offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts, and by it he, being dead yet speaketh.”

11:7 “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of righteousness which is by faith.”

11:11 “Through faith also Sara herself received the strength to conceive, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who made the promise.”

11:17 “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promise offered up his only begotten son.”

11:31-34 “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthah; of David also, and of Samuel, and of the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens.”

11:36-38 “And others had trial of cruel mockings, and scourgings, yea moreover of bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins, and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented …”

Genuine faith endures to the very end: the feelings we have will not last. Truth remains truth always. Can you understand now the importance of having faith; that wonderful gift that starts us on the path to a relationship with God the Father

and his Son Jesus Christ our Savior?

Children learn to trust their parents. God is our Father and using the gift of faith we can learn to trust Him as we turn to Him for love and support in all things.

JUSTIFIED BY FAITH

Romans 5:1-5 KJV “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God though our lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulations worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

PRAYER POINT - GIVING THANKS TO GOD

Again, I presume to offer you scriptures to tease your mind. Believers all know what God does for us. Nevertheless, it is good to review these verses and even use them within your prayers. God will never object your repeating His words back to him. Taken from the KJV.

Psalm 100:3-4 “Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that made us, and not we ourselves, we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

Psalm 107:8-9 “Oh, that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness

Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ concerning you.”

Psalm 118:1, 14, 21, 29 “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. The Lord is my strength. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art my salvation. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good and for hismercy endureth for ever.

May God put his tender hands upon you as you speak with him through prayer. It is what he wants every day; to hear from you. Seek his face and he will reveal more and more of himself to you!

If you will take a moment to look at the header you will find a “Donate” button. This site is not monetized. However, if you feel a need to “pay it forward” as some say, then take a moment to check out a worthwhile endeavor. They are dedicated to assisting children in crises. It is the St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. The button will take you to their page. They do not know that we are directing you there. It is the “left hand - right hand” thing.

To help this site grow I do ask that if you have found anything of interest that you would share a link to us with someone you care about regardless if they are a believer or not. My goal is to reach as many as I can with the Gospel… I sincerely appreciate your help! Until we can be together again I pray that God is an active support and help in your life!
